Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KTR  wrote a letter to the Centre and requested to allocate huge funds to  urban development in the state. In the letter, Minister KTR asked Centre allocate funds funds in the forthcoming Union Budget 2023-24, for various urban sector initiatives in the State. Minister  KTR lists out various projects taken up or proposed for urban sector in the State. He wrote to Centre ahead of national budget preparation.

 Minister said that Telangana government was committed to spurring  the growth and the development in towns. BJP government should allocate requisite funds to Telangana State and prove its commitment towards the State,

KTR added that every time centre denied requests of Telangana asking to allocate the  funds. He expressed dismay that  Centre is discriminating Telangana and not allocating an extra single rupee. He added said that the sector which Centre denies to allocate the  funds witnessing huge development.

Minister KTR added that  Centre that Telangana government had made several requests seeking assistance for taking up different development works in Hyderabad  city and other towns, he said each time the State submitted proposals, there was only disappointment.

KTR urged union government to allocate sufficient funds to Telangana.
