The murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in his Jaipur home on 5th December sparked a political slugfest 2days after the Congress lost to the BJP in the Rajasthan assembly election. Rajasthan bandh was called by the Karni Sena on Wednesday over the murder, as the BJP claimed that it was the Congress’ revenge for losing Rajasthan. Shehzad Poonawala, BJP national spokesperson, shared a video of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi explaining that police had informed Congress Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of Gogamedi’s security threat. Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.
Rohit Godara said on social media platform: “Ram Ram to all the brothers I am Rohit Godara Kapurisar, Goldie Brar. Today, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was murdered. We take full responsibility for this murder. We did this murder. Brothers, I want to tell you that Gogamedi used to cooperate with our enemies and used to strengthen them.
Rajasthan Police said that Rohit Godara is a henchman of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and carries a reward of Rs 1 lakh on him.
Rohit Godara , who is from Bikaner, is the main accused in the murder case of Bhinvraj Saran in Sardarshahr, Churu, in the year 2019. Rohit Godara had also taken responsibility for the murder of gangster Raju Theth.
