Health Minister Harish Rao said that 76.3 percent deliveries in government hospitals in the month of August is a great thing. He said that this is a new record in history.He expressed happiness. He said that due to the efforts being made by the Health Department under the guidance of Chief Minister KCR, deliveries in government hospitals, which were 30 percent in 2014, have more than doubled. He said that this is proof of the increased confidence of the people in the government hospitals.
Minister Harish appreciated that Narayanapet 89%, Mulugu 87%, Medak 86%, Bhadradri Kothagudem 84%, Vikarabad 83% and Gadwal 85% delivered good performance. Manchiryala (63), Nirmal (66), Medchal and Karimnagar (67) districts, where government hospital deliveries are the least, should improve their performance. The Minister congratulated the medical staff of Medak (84.4), Jogulamba Gadwal (83.9), Vikarabad (81), Mulugu (79) and Nagar Kurnool (77) districts who stood first in overall performance score. The districts of Jagityala, Kumrambhim, Narayan Pate, Nirmal and Manchiryala, which are in the last position, have been ordered to improve their performance.
Health Minister Harish Rao held a monthly review teleconference with Ashas, ANMs and medical officers on Tuesday. Health Secretary Rizvi, Director of Public Health Srinivasa Rao, DMHOs of all districts, Program Officers and other officials participated. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Harish Rao said that PHC Medical Officers, Ashas and ANMs are playing a vital role in providing primary level medical care at the field level and saving people from the burden of diseases.
