Everything was going as planned but suddenly, Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram module on the lunar surface did not go as per script in the early hours of Saturday as it has lost communication with the ground stations. On to this Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that ISRO people shouldn’t be dishearted as there will be a new dawn and better tomorrow.

Modi has delivered the message of hope to the scientists in a broadcast live, just hours after the ISRO has declared that it has lost the communication with the Vikram module of Chandrayaan 2. Modi said that  “We came very close but we need to cover more ground in the times to come.

Learning from today will make us stronger and better. The nation is proud of our space program and scientists. The best is yet to come in our space program. There are new frontiers to discover and new places to go to. India is with you”.

He added saying, “Effort was worth it and so was the journey. It will make us stronger and better. There will be a new dawn and better tomorrow… I am with you, the nation is with you”.
