New governor to take charge for Andhra Pradesh

ESL Narasimhan who has been serving as the governor for Andhra Pradesh will be relieved soon. Vishwabhushan Harichandan will soon be replacing the Narasimhan as the governor of Andhra Pradesh. Vishwabhushan Harichandan has served as the former minister and he is also the BJP’s senior leader from Odisha.

Modi has a positive impression on the former’s work. Hence, Modi has honored the Harichandan with governor post of AP. However, few other names like Sushma Swaraj were heard in this post but later the rumors were cleared.

Speaking about the current governor Narasimhan, he served as the governor for Chhattisgarh in 2009 and then he was given the post of united Andhra Pradesh governor too. He continued to serve as the governor for bifurcated Andhra Pradesh and Telangana too since 2014.

On June 13, 2017, ESL Narasimhan has created a new record of longest governor of Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, Chhattisgarh has also got the new governor, Sushri Anasuya.
