While Revanth Reddy took charge as the Chief Minister of Telangana State, many ministers also took oath on Thursday. But the Congress government did not immediately take a decision on the allocation of departments. It seems that the latest decision was taken on Saturday. The details were send to Raj Bhavan for the allocation of department to the ministers. Orders are likely to come soon.
Departments of Ministers:
Uttam Kumar Reddy – Minister of Heavy Irrigation, Civil Supplies
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka- Finance Minister
Duddilla Sridharbabu- IT Minister, Industries, Legislative Assembly
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy- Roads and Buildings Department
Sitakka- Panchayat Raj
Konda Surekha- Forest Department
Ponnam Prabhakar- Transport Minister
Tummala Nageswara Rao- Agriculture Minister
Jupalli Krishna Rao- Excise Minister
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy- Information Department
Damodara Rajanarsimha- Minister of Health
On the other hand, a decision is likely to be taken soon on six ministerial vacancies. Congress hopes to take time and replace it.
At present six ministerial posts in Telangana cabinet are vacant. No one from the joint Nizamabad, Adilabad, Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts has got a chance in the present cabinet.
As a result, MLAs or leaders of the respective districts are likely to get ministerial posts. Out of 14 constituencies in the joint Rangareddy district, the Hastam party has won only four. Former minister and MLA Gaddam Prasad, who won from Vikarabad, got a chance to become the Speaker of the Assembly.
