New Year starts on tragic note as the two pedestrians, including a woman who were standing in front of the tiffin centre, died on the spot. 2others were injured and shifted to a hospital. This incident took place in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on Sunday morning. The sources revealed that a rashly driven car, which was heading towards Punjagutta from Jubilee Hills check post, ran amok hitting 2 pedestrians and the cars parked by the roadside.
Police are suspecting that the man driving the car was under the influence of alcohol. Both the occupants of the cars were students of the engineering college.
The accident took place hours after New Year celebrations in Hyderabad and an intensive drive by the police against drunk and driving. The police have registered the case.
Police said 3 cars were damaged in this accident. Apparently, the car driver lost control, hitting the pedestrians and stationary cars.
