The no confidence motion introduced by the opposition will come before the Lok Sabha today. The meeting of leaders of the India alliance has started in the Parliament building. They are discussing the strategies to be adopted in the assembly.  There is a possibility of a heated war of words in the Lok Sabha between the ruling NDA and the opposition India Alliance.

Lok Sabha to discuss no-confidence motion on 8th and 9th August. BJP allotted 6 hours 41 minutes, Congress 1 hour 15 minutes. Rahul Gandhi likely to open the debate whereas PM Modi’s reply on 10th August.  BJP sources said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver an important speech in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.

Prime Minister Modi has once again joined the list of Prime Ministers who have faced no-confidence as the elections are to be held in another year. 

In the context of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, this no-confidence motion has become crucial for both the ruling party and the opposition.  BJP is looking to show its strength in this. At the same time, the leaders of the newly formed India Alliance are of the opinion that this is a good opportunity to get support from the people.

It will be interesting to see what Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has to say in Parliament on the violence in Manipur.
