The police have registered a case against her boyfriend in the case of suicide of a student who created a sensation in Telangana. As the group exams led to a political uproar that the student committed suicide, the police came to light of new things in the investigation.
The Chikkadapally police have made a young man named Sivaram an accused in the case of Pravalika’s suicide in Hyderabad. The police have collected evidence that she committed suicide by deceiving another young woman by believing that she would get married.
Accused Sivaram has been booked under sections 417, 420 and 306. The Chikkadapally police said that Shivaram is currently absconding and special teams have been formed to search for him.
For a government job, Pravalika studied for competitive exams while staying in a hostel in Ashoknagar. On October 13, she committed suicide by hanging herself in the hostel room. A huge dharna was held on the same day under the leadership of Congress and BJP, saying that she committed suicide due to the cancellation of Group-2 examination. After that, the police conducted a post-mortem on Pravilika’s body and handed it over to the family members.
In the preliminary investigation, the police collected evidence that personal reasons were responsible for the suicide of the young woman. The police investigation revealed that a young man named Sivaram loved Pravalika and deceived her into believing about marriage.
