Ponniyin Selvan and Kantara box office collections: Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan and Rishab Shetty’ directorial venture Kantara are winning the hearts of the movie lovers and are creating history at the box office. Ponniyin Selvan is a multi-starrer period drama that stars Jayam Ravi in the role of Arulmozhivarman while Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are in other key roles. Now according to the traders report, Ponniyin Selvan has grossed $2,599,504 till 16th October whereas Kantara has grossed $303,472 at the UAE Box office till Oct 16th.

Mani Ratnam’ film is having a dream run at the box office as the big-budget film has crossed a worldwide gross collection of Rs 456.25 crore, after dominating the box office for 2 consecutive weeks. The movie was released in theatres across the globe in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Apart from Rishab Shetty, Kantara also has Achyuth Kumar, Kishore, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty in important roles.
