Justice SV Kotwal of the Bombay High Court, on Wednesday, granted bail to Bengali beauty Rhea Chakraborty, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, who were taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau – NCB in a drug case that emerged from investigations into the death of MS Dhoni fame Sushant Singh Rajput. In her bail petition, the actress Rhea Chakraborty alleges that Kedarnath actor Sushant Singh Rajput took advantage of those closest to him to sustain his drug habit and that she and her brother Showik are sole targets of the witch hunt.
The Bombay High court granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty but rejected her brother Showik Chakraborty’ bail plea in the ongoing drug case being investigated by NCB. The High Court refused bail to one more co-accused and alleged peddler, Abdel Basit Parihar.
Rhea Chakrabory has been asked to submit Rs 1 lakh as bond and mark her presence daily at the police station for ten days after her release. The actress also has to hand over her passport and cannot travel abroad without the permission of court.
The actress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on 8th September by NCB on charges of organizing drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead on 14th June 2020.
