BJP president Kishan Reddy welcomed the governor’s rejection of the list of MLCs.
Union Minister Kishan Reddy said that he welcomes the Governor’s decision to reject the list of MLCs. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said that she had taken the right decision. She said that poets, artists and servicemen will be given an opportunity as emcees in the nominated quota. Chief Minister KCR expressed anger that people with criminal cases are being sent to the House of Elders.
They are asking for the post of MLC for those who work for KCR‘s family. He said that the Governor’s rejection of those who have repeatedly defected to the parties and those who serve the KCR family is something to be welcomed. Are they good if they listen to what KCR says, or bad if they don’t? He asked.
There is an uproar in Telangana where the governor has taken a sensational decision rejecting the candidatures proposed by the government for nominated quota MLCs. After rejecting the recommendations sent by the government, the governor responded in the form of a letter.
“Dasoju Sravan and Satyanarayan, nominated by the government, have connections with politics and are active in special politics even now. Tamilisai Soundararajan clarified that they are not eligible to be nominated in the Governor’s quota as they are not doing much in the fields of arts, literature and science. According to Article 171(5), the selection of candidates is Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that it was not done in a proper manner. On the other hand, the BRS leaders are expressing their anger over the Governor’s rejection of the list of MLCs.
