Are your feet swollen after long journeys? But just follow some tips while traveling. 

Many people get swollen feet when traveling long distances in flights, trains and buses. Almost everyone has this problem. The reason why this actually happens is that due to sitting in one position for a long time, the blood circulation in the leg nerves increases the pressure. This causes the fluids in the blood to pool in the surrounding delicate tissue. This causes swelling of the legs. These are not that dangerous. In two or three days, the legs will be back to normal. If the swelling seems to be increasing without decreasing, then the doctor should be consulted immediately. And by taking small precautions during the journey, this problem can be avoided to some extent.

Precautions to prevent leg swelling:

Do not sit in the same position for a long time while sitting in a flight or bus. If the legs are bent for a while, they should be stretched for a while. If possible, sit with your legs folded for a while. By doing this, the pressure in the blood circulation is not countered.

Take a break every hour. He should get up from the sitting place and go to the washroom. You have to break the tears once. Due to this the legs relax a bit instead of staying still.

The legs and heels should be rotated and stretched for half an hour. Small exercises should be done.

Try to wear comfortable clothes while travelling. Wearing tights does not improve blood circulation.

Also, many people have the habit of sitting cross-legged. It is best not to do this while travelling. This causes the blood supply to be more strained. This can further exacerbate the problem.

Washroom facilities are available in flights and trains. So drink more water. Try to drink fruit juices if possible . This prevents dehydration. Going to the washroom is like a small exercise.

Do not consume alcohol, intoxicating substances or drink while travelling. By doing this you will fall asleep while sitting,  becomes motionless. This will increase the problems of leg swelling.
