TDP leader B Satyanarayana Murthy has been arrested for alleged derogatory remarks against Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and  Tourism Minister. Satyanarayana Murthy has been arrested under various provisions of IPC like section 153 A 354 A 503 504 and others for making the comment. Two complaints have been filed against Satyanarayana Murthy in Guntur district.

The police said that 68-year-old Murthy was arrested in Paravada mandal of Anakapalle district on Monday night. Guntur West sub-divisional police officer Uma Maheshwar Reddy revealed that ‘Murthy was arrested from his Venelapalem residence in Anakapalle district at around 7.45 pm on Monday evening and was brought to Guntur last night itself. They  will present him in court.

Two complaints have been filed against Satyanarayana Murthy in Guntur district. One for making remarks against the Chief Minister at Arundelpet police station and the other for making derogatory remarks on Minister Roja. Both the complaints were filed on September 30 and October 1.

The sources revealed that Guntur police along with more than 100 personnel reached the residence of the TDP leader around midnight on Sunday. He had locked himself in the house, due to which the police had to struggle a lot to arrest him. Meanwhile, hundreds of TDP workers reached the former minister’s house and had a heated argument with the police.
