In the recent cases, officials said that on October 6, the authorities arrested eight persons in Nizamabad and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts with possession of ganja, vehicles transporting it.

The EC ordered to take strict action on the use of money power during the election and to take action on the transportation and distribution of alcohol, cash, election inducements and drugs. It suggested that action should be taken against the kingpins of illegal liquor manufacturing in the state. The directives given to the enforcement agencies during the EC team’s visit to the state last week have been implemented with immediate effect.
