Police have arrested a film producer and director in a drug case that came to light in Hyderabad. The SOT police arrested a film producer named Vasu Varma who was found to be buying and selling drugs.

In the last few years, the root cause of any incident is found to be with the people of the film industry. Before the film producers were caught having a drug party in Madhapur’s Fresh Living apartment, another case came to light.
A director and producer from the film industry have been arrested in a case of drug use. Film director Vasu Varma was arrested by the Madapur police on September 5. The arrest of the accused has been kept secret by the police. This matter came to light on Sunday. In the same case, film writer Manneri Prithvikrishna alias Diwakar and Pune-based event organizer Rahul Ashok Telore were arrested last June.
Victor from Mumbai and Rahul Ashok Telor staying in Pune are drug peddlers. They sell drugs to people they know. Film writer Prithvi Krishna from Narsinghi used to buy and use drugs from Rahul and Victor.
On June 19 this year, the Cyberabad SWOT police, after receiving information about the use of drugs, arrested Prithvi Krishna and Rahul Telor. 70 grams of cocaine was seized from them. According to the information given by the accused, the director and producer of the film ‘Basti’, Mantena Vasuvarma, who lives in Serilingampally, was also found to be buying drugs.
The Madapur police, who are investigating the case, arrested Vasu Varma on September 5. Police officials said that Vasu Varma and Prithvi Krishna were found to be using drugs together and arrested. He said that Victor, who supplies drugs to them, is absconding.
