Vijay Deverakonda made his production debut with Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, which received mixed response by the movie lovers and critics on its opening day and the collections of the film was also not up to the mark. The major complaint received about the movie Meeku Maathrame Cheptha is its “cheap production values”. Vijay Devarkonda’s father Vardhan Deverakonda, is taking care of the production ventures and his judgment worked during Pelli Choopulu time but failed miserably with Vijay Deverakonda’ production venture Meeku Maatrame Cheptha. Though Vijay Deverakonda got the table profits but the distributors lost big chunk of money.
Vijay Deverakonda’s father and Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ co-producer Vardhan Deverakonda recently in an interview talked about the production values of the film in which Tharun Bhascker played the lead role. Vardhan Deverakonda has said, “We made the film Meeku Maathrame Cheptha with a whopping budget of Rs 5 Crores. The visuals are looking dull due to a technical glitch which occurred during the Digital Intermediate. Most of the scenes were shot in the night effect, and even they turned out to be dull on the screen.”
The sources say that Vijay Deverakonda and his father Vardhan Deverakonda are confused and are not able to decide about their next production venture. Vijay Deverakonda is currently in the search of good script. If he finds any good content oriented script, he will go ahead otherwise he is happy in the acting field.
