Whistle collections: Kollywood star Vijay starrer sports drama Whistle, was released yesterday on 25th October 2019, in a very grand manner worldwide, and received a positive response by the critics and the movie lovers on its opening day. The movie Whistle is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil movie Bigil. According to the trader’s report, Whistle has collected a share of around Rs 2.66 Cr on the first day at the box office of both Telugu States- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Ceded: Rs 57.20 Lakhs

Nellore: Rs 10.50 Lakhs

Krishna: Rs 14.16 Lakhs

Guntur: Rs 55.97 Lakhs

East Godavari: Rs 19.00 Lakhs

West Godavari: Rs 13.00 Lakhs

Bigil has opened to a massive start at the box office. The movie, directed by Atlee Kumar, was released in a good number of screens across Tamil Nadu. According to the trader’s report, the film Bigil has collected around Rs 1.80 cr on its opening day in the Chennai city box office.

Bigil and Whistle also did superb business at the overseas box office. The official box office numbers are yet to be announced.

The film Whistle sees Vijay in dual roles as a father and a son. Vijay is essaying the role of a coach of a women’s football team. The film has music by double Oscar award-winning music composer.

After Mersal (2017) and Theri (2016), this was the third time, when Atlee and Vijay teamed up for a movie Bigil. Earlier in an interview, Atlee has said that he is lucky that he is working with Vijay for the third time.
