The World Health Organization (WHO) felt that the travel bans have worsen the economy and raised social stress. It recommended the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee and some of the nations those imposed travel restrictions, to repeal the travel bans restrictions, as they got notified that the citizens are facing economic and social burden.
The reports stated that the travel restrictions have been incompetent in capping the rapid spread of Omicron variant globally, and these are the negative factors caused by travel restrictions. Instead of travel bans, wearing masks, regular sanitisation, if Covid affected, then isolations, quarantine, vaccination, RT-PCR testing are the effective factors to control the spread of pandemic, and these can help from financial crisis.
So far, most governments have revoked travel bans. In the last year November, myriad nations suspended flights for Southern African countries due to Covid situations. Another thing WHO urged nations is, not to ask for Covid-19 vaccination proof as mandatory evidence for travelling purposes.
