BRS MLC Kavitha will take up a strike demanding the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament sessions . It has been announced that the hunger strike will be started from 10th March at the Delhi venue.
K Kavitha on Thursday said that she would hold a peaceful sit-down protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi demanding the tabling of the Women’s Reservation Bill in this session of Parliament. She said, that the protest will take place in the presence of women’s organizations, representation from all29 states, and political parties who believe in women’s rights and empowerment.
However, YSRTP chief YS Sharmila responded to Kavita’s initiation on Twitter and made a series of tweets: You have to initiate not in Delhi, in front of Pragati Bhavan, in front of Farm House. You, playing Bathukamma, committed a liquor scam. Now these new dramas are to sidestep that scam.
She also wrote: Two seats.. that is 11.76%.. Is this your love for women? There was no place for women in Telangana’s first cabinet. Is this your passion for women? What was your father’s obstacle in implementing reservation for women?
YS Sharmila criticized Kavitha and said that there was no place for women in Telangana’s first cabinet. There are only two ministers in the current cabinet.
