A Nagada/drum, weighing around 500 kg was sent to Ayodhya from Gujarat on January 5 in a special chariot, will be installed at the appropriate place. The Nagada was handed over to the Ram Janmabhoomi Theerth Kshetra Trust ahead of Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
The Nagada is accompanied by a letter from Gujarat VHP’s Ashok Rawal and it was accepted by Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Chirag Patel, who brought it, said that Nagada is adorned with layers of gold and silver. It has been prepared by the people of the Dabgar community in the Daryapur extension of Karnavati, Gujarat. The trust’s general secretary Champat Rai revealed the Nagada would be installed on the Ram temple premises.
The structure of Nagada involves use of iron and copper plates as well. This huge Nagada, a symbol of Hindu culture, its sound can be heard up to a kilometre away.
Over 7,000 people are on the invitee list of the temple trust, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, including B- town celebrities, Politicians, cricketers, and industrialists.
