Ayodhya Ram Mandir Day 4: Pran Pratishtha Rituals begins, Holy fire lit for Havan

The Prana Pratishtha ceremony of the idol of Lord Ram will be held on January 22 at the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The related Vedic programs are going on. These programs will continue till January 22. The holy fire was lit at 9 am on Friday morning as part of the Vedic activities related to the Prana Pratishtha program at the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The idol of Shri Ram Lalla, which was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple in Ayodhya on Thursday, will be given ‘Aushdhadhiwas’ (medicinal abode), ‘Kesaradhiwas’ (saffron abode), ‘Dhritashiwas’ (Dhrita abode), and ‘Pushpadhiwas’ (flower abode). Following this, the idol will be kept in the saffron and later in grains.

After the prana pratishta ceremony, the doors of the temple will be closed and reopened the next day on January 23. The temple will be opened for darshan of the general public from the 23rd.

A 51-inch idol of Lord Rama carved by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysore, Karnataka was placed in the temple sanctum in Ayodhya after 12:30 pm on Thursday.  Meanwhile, arrangements are in full swing for the prana pratistha program of Lord Rama on January 22 at the newly built Ramjanmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya.
