On Monday, Chatrinaka police booked a case under various sections of law against casino organizer Chikoti Praveen and 3  of his private security guards for possessing firearms without valid licence or related documents. A case has been registered for using gunmen against the rules.

Chikoti Praveen, who is popular for casinos and gambling, has hired Sundernaik of Turkayanjal who has served in BSF and military, Ramesh Goud of Mangalhat and Rakesh Kumar of Bhupalapally district as his personal security. Being ex-servicemen, they were granted arms licenses by the police department to get employment. On the occasion of Bonalu, Chikoti Praveen came to the temple with armed private security personnel on Sunday and the Dakshina mandal task force police took three personnel- Surender Naik, Rajesh and Ramesh Goud  into custody. Three weapons were seized from them.

The police clarified that the three persons arrested by the police have arms license and they are only allowed to perform security duties at financial institutions like banks and ATMs.  

The private individuals are not allowed to act as armed security personnel. A case has been registered against Chikoti Praveen for hiring private security personnel without taking any permission from the government. He said that Chikoti Praveen, who is A1 accused in this case, is absconding and the other three have been arrested and sent to remand.
