A woman judge who is facing s…. harassment from her seniors wrote an open letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court expressing her grievances. Now the same letter is going viral on social media. Responding to this, the Supreme CJI ordered the officials to report to him immediately on this incident.
Working as a judge in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, woman judge wrote an open letter to the CJI. She alleged that the district judge and her followers have been s….. harassing her for several months. In that letter, she expressed her grief that she was treated worse than a worm.
The woman Judge wrote in the letter : “I joined judicial service with much enthusiasm and the belief that I would dispense justice to the common folk. What did I know that I will soon be rendered a beggar for the justice on every door that I go. In the short time of my service, I have had the rare honor of being abused on the dais in an open court. Kindly permit me to end my life in the dignified way”
She said that he had brought the harassment against him to the attention of the High Court’s Internal Grievances Committee in July this year, but to no avail. In that letter, she pleaded that she should be allowed to die with dignity.
Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud immediately responded to this letter after coming to his notice. A letter has been written to the Registrar General of Allahabad High Court asking for an immediate report on this and to submit all the details of the investigation.
