Mahanati Collections: Mahanati is a biopic on the life of legendary south Indian actress, singer, director and producer Savitri, directed by Nag Ashwin,  which was released on 9th May 2018 in a very manner and is running successfully at the box office. Savitri widely considered India’s first female superstar, still remembered for her instant ability to shed tears for the camera as for her tumultuous relationship with Kollywood superstar Gemini Ganesan.  Keerthy Suresh essayed the role of Savitri whereas Dulquer Salaman played Gemini Ganesan in Mahanati. According to the traders report, Mahanati has collected Rs 28.35 Cr shares from both Telugu States – Andhra Pradesh and Telanagna, after the successful run of 44 days.

Mahanati is jointly bankrolled by C. Ashwini Dutt, Swapna Dutt  and  Priyanka Dutt under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema whereas the music is scored by Mickey J Meyer. Recently during the media interaction Keerthy Suresh said, “Not every movie can become Mahanati and not every woman centric movie has to work. I have to make sure I balance my commercial and female-oriented scripts.” She added, “I don’t want to focus only on female oriented scripts.”

  Samantha Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya, Shalini Pandey, Krish, Rajendra Prasad, Vijay Devarakonda,  Bhanupriya, Malavika Nair, Tulasi, Sai Madhav Burra, Srinivas Avasarala, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Prakash Raj, Naresh and others played supporting roles in Mahanati. On the workwide, currently Keerthy Suresh is busy in her upcoming movie Saamy Square starring Chiyaan Vikram, Sandakozhi 2 starring Vishal and  Sarkar starring Vijay.
