Bollywood beautiful and talented actress Alia Bhatt made her debut at Met Gala 2023. RRR fame actress wore a Chanel bride-inspired Prabal Gurung white gown as a perfect nod to Karl Lagerfeld.
This year Met Gala is a tribute to designer Karl Lagerfeld and red carpet was crowded with pearls, white and black, all Lagerfeld trademarks. Alia Bhatt’ white attire channelled a 1992 bridal look created for the Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld and modelled by Claudia Schiffer. 100,000 pearls were used to create the actress debut Met Gala look which was also a nod to two pet cats – her own and Karl Lagerfeld’s.

She said that she has always been fascinated by the iconic Chanel brides. The genius of Karl Lagerfeld shone through in most innovative and awe inspiring couture. Alia Bhatt look was inspired from this and in particular by the supermodel Claudia Schiffer 1992 Chanel bridal look. A girl can never have too many pearls, the right accessories to complement the look which in her case translated to bow of pearls on hair.
