The passengers on the Secunderabad-Sirpur Khagaj Nagar train pulled the chain and stopped the train after seeing smoke coming from it. The passengers noticed the smoke coming from the train near the Bibinagar railway station. Immediately the train was stopped at the Bibinagar railway station. Officials noticed that smoke was coming from the train due to brake liner sticking. The train was stopped at Bibinagar railway station and repairs were carried out. After completing the repairs, the train was sent back.
In the past, there have been incidents of fire and smoke in many trains. On 13th August 2023, smoke was seen in the Inter City Express train. Due to this, the train was stopped at Ghanpur railway station. Passengers noticed smoke coming from the fourth coach of this train and informed the railway authorities. The train stopped at station Ghanpur railway station. After carrying out the repairs, the train was sent back. Inter city train also had smoke on 16 June 2021. At Doorli Gate, Talamadu Mandal, the train engine was stopped after noticing smoke.
It is known that Navajeevan Express train was also halted at Mahabubad railway station on February 16 this year due to smoke. The incident took place while the train was traveling from Ahmedabad to Chennai.
