Telangana Assembly Sessions will start from today. The Governor will address the joint meeting of both houses at 11.30 am. A debate will be held on the motion of thanks for the governor’s speech on the 9th of this month. On the 10th, the Oton Account Budget will be introduced.
Telangana assembly meetings are likely to be held for 6 days. Implementation of 6 guarantees, many key issues including the Caste Census Bill are likely to be discussed. The Chairman and Speaker of the Council conducted a review of the arrangements for the meetings of the Legislative Assembly.
After the formation of the new government in Telangana, the first budget meeting will begin from Thursday. At 11.30 am Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will address the joint meeting of Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. Budget meetings are expected to be held for at least six days. The meeting dates and agenda are likely to be finalized in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting chaired by the Speaker on Thursday. As the BAC has not yet been formed, the management of the assembly will be finalized after consultation with the opposition leaders.
A special nodal officer should be appointed for smooth running of meetings along with giving timely answers to the questions asked by the members in both the houses. The Speaker said that the officials of the concerned departments should be ready with complete information during the meeting.
