The creator of Rashmika Mandanna’s deep fake video arrested

It is known that Kannada actress Rashmika Mandanna’s deep fake video has created a sensation across the country. The video has taken social media by storm. The person who made this deep fake video has been arrested by Delhi Police. Actually the original video belongs to British Indian influencer Zara Patel. This video was morphed into Rashmika’s video using deep fake technology.  

The main accused in the deepfake video case involving Rashmika Mandanna has been arrested by the Delhi Police in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.

Deepfake is a digital method where one can replace a person’ likeness convincingly with that of another using AI technology.

Delhi Police registered a case after Rashmika Mandanna’ deep fake video went viral. Charges have been laid under IPC Sections 465, 469, IT Sections 66C and 66E. On the other hand, Kajol, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Sachin Tendulkar’s deep fake videos have also gone viral. 

Many celebrities across the country have expressed concern about deep fake videos. They asked the Center to take strict action against those making such videos. In this context, Union IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar responded and said that strict changes will be made in the IT Act.

Currently Rashmika Mandanna is basking in the glory of her recently released movie Animal co starring Ranbir Kapoor.
