In the one-day series against India and West Indies, the confident team India won the first match and lost the second match. The main reason for this defeat is that Team India suffered defeats in the batting and bowling departments.

In the second ODI between India and West Indies, senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were absent from the match and rested. This puts a lot of responsibility on the rest of the team. Team India’s failure to handle this responsibility effectively led to defeat. So, who were the three main players who completely failed in this match?

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya took over the captaincy of Team India. But Hardik, who lost the toss and batted first, faced difficulties later. Team India, who started brilliantly with 90 runs for the first wicket, lost three wickets in three overs and the responsibility fell on Hardik. But Hardik failed to fulfill this responsibility.  He lost his wicket. Hardik Pandya faced 14 balls and scored only 7 runs.

Sanju Samson got a chance in this match after a long time. As Sanju Samson did not get a chance in the first match, Sanju fans demanded to give Sanju a chance in a big way. Chances of Sanju getting a chance in the second match are very slim. However, Sanju Samson got a chance in this match as Kohli and Rohit decided to stay away from the playing team. But once again Sanju Samson failed to take advantage of this opportunity. Although Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan gave a wonderful partnership of 90 runs. Samson faced only 9 runs off 19 balls. This failure of Sanju was also a setback for Team India.

Umran Malik has set many expectations as a fast bowler. But the performance expected from Umran Malik at the international level has not come so far. He bowled only three overs in the first match and scored valuable runs in the second match. In this match too, Umran bowled only three overs but gave away 27 runs.
