According to reports, both Sri Lankan opening batsman Avishka Fernando and wicket keeper Kushal Pereira have been infected with Corona.
It is known that Pakistan and Sri Lanka are jointly hosting the Asia Cup this time. Due to strained relations between India and Pakistan, this Asia Cup is being held in a hybrid format. According to this only 4 matches will be played in Pakistan while 9 important matches including semi-final and final match will be played in Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, two players of the host Lankan team got an infection and the tournament suffered a setback.
According to Sri Lankan reporter Danushka Aravinda, opening batsman Avishka Fernando, wicket keeper and batsman Kushal Pereira have both been diagnosed as corona positive.
