Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal is one of India’s proudest sportswomen.  Saina Nehwal, who has shown her strength in the Common wealth and Olympic Games with her own style, recently made interesting comments on her retirement.

Saina Nehwal has been suffering from lack of form for some time now. 33-year-old Saina has been away from international tournaments since last June. With this, Saina Nehwal, who was once the world’s number one, has now fallen to the 55th rank. Saina’s chances of qualifying for next year’s Paris Olympics are low. But Saina Nehwal has told interesting things about her retirement.

“After practicing for an hour or two, my knee is swelling. Right now I can’t bend my knee. The second training session may not be now. The time for the Paris Olympics is approaching. It will be difficult to qualify for it. But, I am trying my best to play again. Physiotherapy is being given. However, if the swelling does not go away. But it might take time to recover. I can’t play at this time. The results won’t be good either,” Saina said about the knee pain.

Saina continued, “An hour’s training is not enough to play with top level players. We also have to have a top level game. First I want to overcome the problem. It is important to take care of the body and make sure that there are no injuries. Everyone retires the day they realize that the body is not supporting them. . At the moment I am trying to come back. I love the game. I want to play for a long time. So, it is my responsibility as a player to try,” Saina revealed.
