Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Indian cricketer Gautham Gambhir proclaimed that he had asked the BJP President JP Nadda to take him over from his political concerns.
The main reason behind his decision is nothing but he had committed for many cricket tournaments and he has to concentrate more on them.
As per PTI sources, Gautham met BJP national general secretary B L Santosh to discuss the topic. Meanwhile, the BJP leaders of Delhi called the cricketer as a reluctant politician.
Taking to X, Gautham Gambhir wrote, “I have requested Hon’ble Party President JP Nadda ji to relieve me of my political duties. So that I can focus on my upcoming cricket commitments. I sincerely thank Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi ji and Hon’ble HM Amit Shah ji for giving me the opportunity to serve the people. Jai Hind!”
