As England named their playing XI for the third Test against India, Mark Wood replaced juvenile bowler Shoaib Bashir. The tournament is slated to be held on February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot. Previously, Mark Wood participated in the opening Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. During the match, he couldn’t even take a wicket.
On the other hand, Shoaib Bashir could not retain his position in th XI. Along with a 3-wicket haul in the first innings, Bashir picked up 4 wickets in the second Test.

After playing a match-winning knock of 196 in the Hyderabad Test on Tuesday, Ollie Pope said, “Unbelievable achievement to play 100 Tests. There have been multiple special moments as a captain”, he concluded.
