India won fifth gold medal in Asian Games Shooting. Our shooters created a world record in the event held on Friday (September 29).

In Asian Games 2023 shooting, India’ children are reaping the harvest of medals. It is a privilege to get the fifth gold medal in the latest shooting. India’s 50m rifle 3 positions team of Aishwari Tomar, Swapnil Kushale and Akhil Shevoran won the gold medal. In this sequence they also created a world record.

The trio won gold in the event held on Friday (September 29) as part of the Asian Games 2023. This is the 15th medal in shooting in the current games. It is remarkable that it is the fifth gold medal. India’s total number of gold medals has reached seven. It is known that two more gold medals came in cricket and equestrian.

Aishwari Tomar, Swapnil Kushale and Akhil have also created a world record in Asian Games shooting. They scored 1769 in 50m rifle 3 positions event and own this record. It is remarkable that they broke the record created by America last year with a score of 1761.

In this event, China won the silver medal with a score of 1763 and the Republic of Korea won the bronze medal with a score of 1748. On the other hand, both Swapnil and Aishwari scored 591 in the individual qualification round and stood in the top 2. The duo’s scores in the qualification round created new Asian Games and Asian shooting records.
