Team India spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav created a unique record. Do you know that the spinners of Team India – Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav  exploded in the first ODI against the West Indies?  They scored 114 runs in just 23 overs. Kuldeep took 4 wickets and Jadeja took 3 wickets. Both took seven wickets together. This is the first time that two left-arm spinners have taken 7 wickets in an ODI match for India. 

Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav proved too good for West Indies as India bundled out the hosts for 114 in 23 overs after winning the toss and bowling first. Kuldeep got the man of the match award. It is known that Jadeja is a left-arm off-spinner and Kuldeep Left-arm is a leg-spinner. In the 49-year history of ODI cricket, Jadeja and Kuldeep became the first left-arm spin pair to take more than 7 wickets in a match for India. India won with 27 overs left as West Indies collapsed due to their blow.

1-0 lead in the three ODI series. Kuldeep said after the match that their job was easy as the pitch was suitable for spin and bounce. India chased down the target of 115 runs in 22.5 overs. Opener Ishan Kishan scored 52 runs.
