Neeraj Chopra threw 86.32, 84.64, 87.73, 83.98 meters in the next attempts. Arshad Nadeem (87.82 meters) from Pakistan won the silver medal, while Jakub Vadlejk (86.67 meters) from the Czech Republic won the bronze medal.
Along with Neeraj Chopra, Indian players Kishore Jena (84.77) finished fifth and DP Manu (84.14) finished sixth in the javelin throw, showing career best performance.
