Team India dashing opener, Hitman Rohit Sharma who is also captaining T20 side for series against Bangladesh is on the brink of creating history. Today there will be second T20 being played at Rajkot, Saurashtra with which Rohit Sharma becomes the first Indian cricketer to play 100 T20 matches. Before this series, Rohit Sharma is on par with MS Dhoni with both sharing 98 T20 appearances. After playing 1st T20 which recently India lost to Bangladesh Rohit Sharma becomes the most capped Indian T20 player. Now with the second T20, he will score a century in a number of matches played.

At the start of his career, Rohit used to bat down the order, but once he was promoted as an opener, Rohit became more lethal in the shortest format of the game. With the 99 appearances so far, Rohit Sharma scored 2452 T20 International runs which are the most by an Indian player. By scoring 48 more, Rohit will become the first Indian player to cross 2,500 run mark in T20 cricket. Will he achieve this feat in the second T20 international itself is to be seen. Rohit averages 31.84 in T20 cricket and already has 4 T20 International hundreds to his name.
Rohit Sharma is captaining the T20 side in the absence of Virat Kohli who took rest for this series.
