Team India captain Rohit Sharma  has broken former captain MS Dhoni’s record. Rohit, who scored 80 runs on the first day of the second Test against the West Indies, climbed another place in the rare list. Rohit surpassed Dhoni in the list of highest run scorers in international cricket for India and reached the fifth position.

Rohit, who scored a century in the first Test against West Indies, scored 80 runs in the first innings of the second Test as well. With this, Rohit’s number of international runs in all formats has reached 17,298. Rohit, who has played 443 matches for India so far, scored these runs at an average of 42.92. He has 44 centuries and 92 half-centuries. The best score is 264.

Sachin Tendulkar is the batsman who scored most runs not only for India but also internationally. He scored 34,357 runs in 664 matches. Virat Kohli (500 matches, 25,484 runs), Rahul Dravid (504 matches, 24,064 runs) and Sourav Ganguly (421 matches, 18433 runs) are in the next positions. Now Rohit has jumped to the fifth position after passing Dhoni in the list.

Dhoni scored 17092 runs in 535 matches. Dhoni scored 15 centuries and 108 half centuries in his career. The best score is 224. And when it comes to Rohit, he gave his best performance in the ODI format. Rohit scored 9825 runs in 243 ODIs. The average is 48.63. There are 30 centuries and 48 half-centuries. Best score is 264.
