While fielding in the second one-dayer against Bangladesh, the captain of Team India, Rohit Sharma sustained an injury to his left thumb. As a result, he was now ruled out of the Bangladesh first Test. It is announced by the BCCI that Team India would be led by KL Rahul, in place of Rohit Sharma. 

Moreover, as Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja were incapable of recuperating from their shoulder and knee injuries, both of them have also been dismissed from two-Test series against Bangladesh. Notably, Opener Abhimanyu Eswaran is all set to replace Rohit Sharma in the squad position.

While, Cheteshwar Pujara will be the deputy of Rahul for the first Test. Pacers Navdeep Saini, Jaydev Unadkat and uncapped spinner Saurabh Kumar have also been included in the squad for Shami and Jadeja. 

The first Test between India and Bangladesh will begin on December 14 in Chattogram. And, the second Test will begin in Mirpur on December 22. For this, Rohit will be taking part to continue his rage.
