Yashaswi Jaiswal became emotional after creating history by becoming the first Indian opener to score a century in his first test on foreign soil. After the second day’s play, he said, “This is just the start. Yashasvi, who scored 40 runs on the first day and remained unbeaten, continued the same momentum on the second day. He made the first Test unforgettable with a century. Currently he is still at the crease with 143 runs. Shikhar Dhawan’s (187) record as the Indian who scored the highest number of runs in the first Test is now in jeopardy.
Yashasvi spoke after his century on the second day. He got a bit emotional on this occasion. “It’s a very emotional moment for me, my family and everyone who has supported me in every way. It’s been a long journey. Thanks to everyone who helped me. I dedicate this century to my uncles and aunts who have helped me so much. I can’t say more than this. It’s just the beginning.
