Yashasvi Jaiswal becomes third youngest Indian to score a Test double hundred

India’s young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a double century in the second Test against England. 22-year-old sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a double century in the sixth Test of his career. Jaiswal reached a double century today (February 3) on the second day of the second Test between India and England at Visakhapatnam.  He  reached his double century with 18 fours and 7 sixes in 277 balls.

Jaiswal hit a six off the bowling of England spinner Bashir when he was at a personal score of 191 runs. Despite being close to a double century, he struck without fear of getting out. The fielders were at the boundaries but showed courage with confidence. Jaiswal hit a four on the next ball. With this, he reached a double century. He celebrated by flying into the air.

At a score of 176 runs, Yashaswi Jaiswal came into the ring for the second day’s play today. He showed aggression from the beginning. Playing with confidence, he quickly reached a double century in the first session. After that, Jaiswal was dismissed for 209 runs (in 290 balls) off the bowling of England pacer James Anderson. This ended Yashasvi’s brilliant innings.

Yashaswi Jaiswal became the third youngest player to score a Test double century for India. Vinod Kambli (21 years 32 days) followed by Sunil Gavaskar (21 years 277 days). At the age of 22, Yashasvi showed his ability by scoring a double century in Tests.
