BCCI has announced that it will organize 88 cricket matches in India in the next five years. The PCC has decided to auction the broadcasting rights of all matches held in India from 2023 to 2028.

In the next five years, more number of cricket matches will be held in India. However, the BCCI has set a target to earn a huge sum through the broadcast rights of the match. Like the IPL auction, separate auctions are held for digital and TV. BCCI got Rs.48,390 crores from IPL. Similarly, BCCI plans to earn another 8000 crores by selling international cricket matches in India.

This amount is paid for both television and digital. Leading TV companies and digital companies are participating in this auction. In the next five years, the Indian team is going to play a total of 88 cricket matches at home. In this, 25 Test matches, 27 ODIs and 36 T20 matches will be played. India will play five Tests, six ODIs and ten T20Is against Australia.

Similarly, India will play 10 Tests, 3 ODIs and five T20Is against England. The BCCI said no to the question of whether the long-awaited Pakistan team will come and tour India. So far the government has not given permission for Pakistan to come and play in India. BCCI has announced that India has not included Pakistan in the bilateral series schedule. As a result, there is no clarity when the India Pakistan cricket match will be held for another five years.
