Will the highest bid break the record? Will the record be broken by the player who fetched the highest price in the IPL auction this time? Last year, Sam Karan created a new history with Rs 18.5 crores. He was bought by the Punjab Kings team. It is interesting to see if the record will be broken this time. With players like Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Rachin Ravindra, Travis Head and Gerald Coetzee in the auction, that record is believed to be under threat.

There are expectations that some players will command a huge price in the IPL 2024 auction. Among them are Australian pace bowlers Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and New Zealand opener Rachin Ravindra. This time there is a possibility of a bidding war for these players in the auction.

A total of 333 players will participate in the auction. 214 of them are Indians while 116 are foreign players

Total 10 franchisees have Rs.262.95 crores. Gujarat Titans have the highest Rs.38.15 crores.

332 players will be divided into 19 sets and auctioned.
