Praveen Kumar, the former fast bowler of Team India, said that he wanted to play for Delhi in the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, Praveen has made sensational allegations that IPL boss Lalit Modi has threatened to stay with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team. He explained that Bangalore is too far away and the food there is not good enough for him.

Praveen said that someone from IPL took his signature on a paper. However, he did not know then that it was a contract paper. Later, Praveen said that Lalit Modi called him and threatened to ruin his career in IPL if he did not play for the Bangalore team. He said this in a recent media interaction.

Praveen Kumar said that ball tampering is very common in cricket. The  tampering started in 1990s. He explained that almost every fast bowler commits tampering to achieve reverse swing. He said that everyone knows this too. However, he said that now that there are cameras all over the field, even the slightest movement of every player on the field is being recorded, the allegations of tampering have increased. Praveen said that he has heard that Pakistani players are involved in this despite everyone doing it, and they are the ones who do most of the tampering.
